We read every message. Corrections are typically processed within a week.

What makes a useful correction

If you're reporting a cost figure that doesn't match our source, the fastest turnaround happens when you include:

• The URL of the page with the issue
• The specific figure that's wrong and what it should be
• A source link — ideally the CMS hospital charge data, Medicare fee schedule, or peer-reviewed publication

We'll cross-check against the source and publish a correction. Significant updates get a dated entry in the methodology changelog.

Response time

Most messages get a reply within 2 business days. Data corrections that require cross-checking against CMS or Medicare sources may take up to a week.
